Children and Families

What We Offer

We believe that family life and children are at the heart of all communities and KPCP sees its role as supporting this through creating relevant opportunities for family to play, learn and spend time together.

Opening Doors

This Project provides isolated families, (who may not have an awareness of the breadth of services and activities available to them) the opportunity, with support, to access a wide range of activities, community events and services that support family life and wellbeing. Through Opening Doors we offer:

  • 1-1 support.

  • Weekly activities in The Chislett Centre including crafts, coffee morning, parent and toddler session, walks.

  • Cooking on a budget sessions.

  • Access to money management support.

  • Support to access services and activities at other locations.

Chislett family activities

We also offer events and trips out where families can take advantages of coming together and having fun which they may not otherwise be able to access.  These include:

  • Themed family parties such as Halloween, Christmas and Summer.

  • Family days out  including trips to York, Cleethorpes and Blackpool

  • Family events such as circus skills, tea parties, sports activities.

Do please get in touch if you want to know more about our work with families or for further information about our work through the Opening Doors Project please visit our Opening Doors Page.
